Paratha with Leftover Khichadi


Khichadi, A dish made with lentils and rice. This is the first solid food given to the new born babies. This dish is one pot meal and it is light on the stomach. Easy to digest and simple to cook. But one of the challenge we face - "what to do with the leftover". So here is the idea, the leftover can be used to make another healthy recipe. 

The leftover can be used to make paratha's, and can be served with your favorite curry. We need the following ingredients to make paratha's :

Ingredients / सामग्री

Khichadi / खिचडी – 1 Cup
Wheat Flour / गेहूँ का आटा – 2 Cup 
Oil / तेल – 2 Table Spoon
Red Chili Powder / लाल मिर्च पाउडर – 1 Tea Spoon
Turmeric Powder / हल्दी पाउडर – ½ Tea Spoon
Salt to Taste / नमक स्वादानुसार
Cumin Seeds / जीरा – 1 Tea Spoon
Chili Garlic Paste / हरी मिर्च एवं लहसुन का पेस्ट – 1 Tea Spoon
Water / पानी
Ghee / घी
